What's On The Map?

Hi!

My name is Sophia Acquisto.

I am a New York history teacher, and incoming PhD student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, who wants to bring technology and local stories to your classroom. Learn about my project here.

A Classroom Resource

Integrate MHH Into Your Curriculum

Educators are welcome to use My Hudson History as a resource for your students. The text is presented at a middle school reading level, and an advanced 4th-5th grade content maturity level.

Teachers are encouraged to supplement their mainstream, broader curriculum with this map to make learning come to life, help students connect their community's stories with broader narratives, and have class discussions on who tells these stories and what students would add to the map to tell their own histories.
